Production Notes

Production StillFrom original concept to finished script, Glitch took 3 years and 14 story and character revisions, all based around the concept of a dangerous cyber-thief being confronted by their victim. The object of Glitch was to be gritty, let the actors improvise and be truthful with the story, situations and characters.

Roger and Renee rehearsingThe cast was formed quickly from San Diego based talent. Besides Roger Gobin portraying Xavier and Man-In-Suit, Renee Rogoff, Adam DeAngelis and Orlando Franklin were from cast from 100 actors from local drama studios and online casting services during April 2006. David Quitmeyer, cinematographer and co-director/producer, contributed his directing/producing expertise and state-of-the-art digital equipment. Peter Gorritz, music composer, brought his unparalleled musical talent. The combination of the multiple layers of talent gives the film a unique and interesting flavor.

Starting in May 2006, filming took 7 days spread over 3 months due to juggling multiple schedules and coordinating production locations. The editing and music score encompassed August and September. Fortunately, no talent or crew backed out of the production once filming began.

A feature length version of Glitch is currently in development.

Director's Statement

Roger Gobin I've always enjoyed well written stories of all genres, but especially the fantasy and science fiction genres. No matter how fantastic or absurd a story, it grips you if you relate to it even the slightest level. This story has played out in my head for several years. Glitch is a character-based cyber-crime drama, based on experiences and observations of the supposed lifestyles of people who may live in the cyber-crime underworld and those who may encounter them.
